This month’s Zoom meeting whisked us over the water to a tour around the Isle of Wight. Graham Horn shared his extensive knowledge and experiences as he provided interesting facts and pictures ranging from the miniature village at Godshill, Charles I imprisonments at Carisbrooke Castle, through to the statue of Jimi Hendrix, who had performed his last gig at the Isle of Wight festival just three weeks before his death in 1970.
Many of us enjoyed reliving our childhood memories, seeing that little has changed to many of the places since our early visits from the 50s and 60s, and Graham provided us with tips and suggestions for how to fill a holiday schedule for any future visits.
Thanks go to Graham for his wonderfully animated talk, and apologies to any of our members who experienced difficulty getting into the meeting from the zoom link. This is something we will check to try to alleviate any future problems.
