Our July meeting was held in Jill and Richard Jones’ lovely garden. A fantastic number of Gardening Group members (58 in total) joined an informal get-together on a fine and, thankfully, not too hot afternoon. It was so good to be able to meet friends face-to-face after 18 months of absence apart from meeting via Zoom. Everyone enjoyed wandering around and sitting in such a superb plantaholics garden with its beautiful colour co-ordinated plantings of herbaceous plants and shrubs and stunning pots of brightly coloured flowers. Our interest was also stimulated by Richard’s model garden railway as the engines and trucks travelled along their track. Many thanks to Jill and Richard for allowing us to meet in their garden and to all those members who helped with donating plants for the plant stall or selling plants and those helping with refreshments and admission. After expenses we raised £140 which helped replenish the coffers. Many thanks to everyone who came and for their support in making the afternoon so special.
