Wow! what a performance! Rarely have I seen an audience sit so still for 2 hours plus to listen to a Concert!
The first half we were treated to Bruch Violin Concerto and Sibelius Finlandia. You could have heard a pin drop. No one even coughed! Absolutely wonderful!
The Conductor must have been so tired. The Second half he led the wonderful choirs, the orchestra and the marvellous tenor,baritone and soprano in this performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. He was absolutely spot on.
All the boxes were full. We had good seats. The coach journey was easy and we arrived in time for liquid refreshment and toilets before the performance.
A most memorable evening. A lovely way to start our year of theatre trip outings.
