“Bad Mintons” Triumphant!
It’s official, we have a champion team from the Risborough U3A quiz, held at the Baptist Church Hall on Friday 4th October. All credit to the Bad Mintons for sneaking in towards the end and stealing the glory from the Loose Women. (If the Bad Mintons are that good, thank goodness the “Good Mintons” didn’t enter a team!)
A big thank you to everyone for turning up to a really enjoyable evening with sometimes easy, sometimes confusing and regularly challenging questions set by Richard Woodward. Unfortunately Richard wasn’t able to be with us on the evening as he had to be away enjoying a sunny holiday, but his void was adeptly and entertainingly filled by the intrepid duo of Stephen and Martin. Efficient and unbiased scoring deftly displayed by the skills of modern technology left no one in doubt as to who the champions were.
Brains were fuelled at “half time” with copious quantities of chilli or curry, and second helpings tucked into by those in greatest need of fighting for a place at the top of the leader board.
Overall a very fun evening was had and we look forward to future opportunities for the champions title to be won by another band of U3Aers.
