Photography
Our Objectives are:
- to increase our knowledge and skills at every meeting;
- to encourage all members to take photographs they would not otherwise take;
- to ensure that all members can get the best from their equipment;
- to involve all members in presenting their photographs and discussing what they like about other members’ photographs.
Please note that we meet at the Methodist Church Hall on Wycombe Road. There is no car parking facility at the church. The entrance is through the gate at the right-hand-side and into the hall through the side door behind the gate.

More about this group
We encourage members to learn more about photography and photographic techniques and to get more from the equipment that they use. This can be through a discussion of members images, through knowledge and skills sessions at meetings, through visits to an exhibition or by setting ourselves a project and heading out with our cameras. At the end of each year we have an annual competition.
- an opportunity for members to present and discuss up to 3 photographs on an agreed theme.
- an educational session aimed at improving technique, knowledge and skills.
- an opportunity for members to show their favourite photographs on other subjects
- discussions of members’ photographs, with suggestions being made as to how they might be improved or re-worked – and where possible using software to make these changes as we talk to understand so that we can see how they work.
Our members use all types of camera.
