Just because we’re still in lockdown doesn’t mean that no groups can function. The Zoom video conferencing app is being used by many individuals and organisations today, from families having an online get-together to companies holding virtual meetings. Other U3As have already got in on the act and our French group joined them on Thursday 21 May.
Six members joined in and were able to converse together in French for around an hour. When using the free version of the Zoom app, meetings for three people or more are normally restricted to 40 minutes, but on this occasion we were given an extension to carry on for a bit longer.
