Coach trip to NT Baddesley Clinton and NT Packwood House

15/09/2025

Baddesley Clinton   Over the course of its 500-year history, the house at Baddesley Clinton has been a refuge for those seeking to escape the outside world, never more so than when it became a place of safety for Catholic priests living in dangerous times. From the bridge, moat and gatehouse entrance to the Great Hall and a 19th-century artist studio, discover the house that passed down through 12 generations of the Ferrers family.  Explore the woodland, walk around the lake or simply find a quiet seat and relax. The formal walled garden, with flower borders and fruit trees, makes a lovely contrast to the nature trail through the woods and around the fish pools.

Packwood House  16th-century Tudor house, lovingly restored at the beginning of the 20th century by Graham Baron Ash, son of a wealthy industrialist. The garden includes brightly coloured, ‘mingled style’ herbaceous borders, lakeside walk, famous sculpted yews and an 18th-century gentleman’s kitchen garden.
