How about a game of Pétanque on Thursday 16 November, hoping the weather will be fine?

Can I suggest 10.30 at Wades but don’t park up, come to the spaces by the cafe and we’ll sort cars out to go to Weston Turville. I’ll need a lift as my wife is stealing our car to go to my daughter’s in Epping for a few days so any offers will be appreciated.

You may also remember that the Town Council’s Estimates Committee meets at 7.00pm next Tuesday 14th Nov at the Princes Centre on Clifford Road, I’ll be there to hear what they say about us (if anything) so if anyone is interested in being bored for an hour or so you’ll be welcome to join me – you never know they may just approve the expenditure.

I’ll write again before next Thursday in case anything changes but I’m thinking we should maybe go for a coffee (or drink?) after our game. Think about it as it might be our last meet before Christmas unless we organise something nearer the date – let’s see what Tuesday brings, we may have cause to celebrate!
