Gardening
If you are interested in the outdoors, plants and gardens and would like to know more, then this is the group for you. Even if you only have a window box, some patio pots or no garden at all, you will still enjoy learning more about gardens and gardening through a varied programme of talks and visits. You are most welcome to join us.

More about this group
The Gardening Group is a thriving group with a regular meeting attendance of over 40 people. Our programme always includes a wide variety of outside speakers, events, visits both to local gardens and those further away and the occasional DVD. During the winter months our meetings are held at Princes Risborough Bowls Club with guest speakers entertaining and advising us through their talks on a wide range of gardening-related topics.
Our annual Christmas Party is held jointly with the Walking Group and includes a buffet meal with plates of food donated by members of both groups. During the summer months we go “out and about” visiting large local gardens such as Waterperry Gardens and smaller private ones. Day visits by coach to gardens further afield have included RHS Wisley, RHS Hyde Hall, Kew Gardens and a variety of NT properties.
We visit local plant nurseries and always have regular “mega” plant sales and swaps. With the organisation of such a large group and varied programme, the group is run by a committee of 5 people who share the planning and leading of activities.
