SUMMARY:Coach trip to NT Wimpole Hall and Cambridge University Botanic Gardens
DESCRIPTION:Cambridge University Botanic Gardens in the centre of Cambridge were founded in 1762 for the teaching of medical students. They were moved to the present site in 1842 mainly to house a tree collection. A legacy enabled the remaining 20 acres to be developed in 1951. \nWIMPOLE HALL: The Hall\, begun in the 17th century\, is complemented by a 1+ acre parterre undergoing redesign to be more eco friendly\, a 4.5 acre walled kitchen garden and acres of Pleasure Grounds. \nCost:    NT members £27     Non NT members £46 \nBooking not yet open.
