Jim Kent will begin by giving us a breakdown of how we got to where we are at the moment\, then we will have a talk on what their farm is doing right now for our environment and about future plans for farming. Ukraine\, climate change\, labour shortage are causing problems\, with a need felt for better food security to be balanced against the need to reduce farming carbon emissions. DESCRIPTION:Meet at the junction of Oak Rd and New Rd. (the road up towards Kop Hill\, from the roundabout) at 10.30. \nThis is a old established walk for u3a strollers. We go via the Icknield way to Pyrtle Spring and continue to the junction of Woodway and Wardrobes Lane. \nWe walk down Wardrobes Lane for a short distance and then turn left on to a bridleway which leads down to complete the loop to Pyrtle Spring and then \nretrace our steps\, back to the start point.  There are some gentle slopes to negotiate and five stiles and one gate. There will be mud I am sure. Most of \nthe walk has wide paths with few narrow sections. .

DESCRIPTION:Five mile walk starting from Monks Risborough over fields and golf course to Cadsden\, then on along good paths passing carpark on Longdown Hill then continuing on down to cross A4010 before taking field paths to Askett and then back to Monks Risborough. Two inclines longish but gentle\, but otherwise flat. One narrow path bounded by hedges where extra care needed if meeting anyone. A few gates\, 2 sturdy stiles.  Meeting point: Layby on Aylesbury road in Monks Risborough\, 10.00 am.
